Akbaruddin Owaisi of MIM Linked To Ibrahim Yafai Case

Akbaruddin Owaisi, MIM, Ahmed Balala, Jani Miya, Mansoor Awlaqui vs Ibrahim Yafai, Awad bin Younus Yafai

A criminal was registered in connection with the murder case of Ibrahim Yafia. It is reported that police is going to file a final report in the court today requesting the court to close the case as no evidence was available. With the spread of this news, rumors started making rounds that police has given a clean chit to the assassins under political pressure.

It may be noted that a criminal case was registered on 30th April 2011 in connection with an attempt to murder against Akbaruddin Owasi, MLA of Chandrayangutta. However the parallel case was not registered in connection with the assassination of Ibrahim Yafai.

The brother of slain Awad bin Younus Yafai lodged a complain with the police on 4th September 2012 in which he had alleged that Ahmad Balala, MLA of Malakpet, Jani Miya, Gunman and Mansoor Awlaqui were indulged in the murder of his brother. He had also alleged that his brother was killed by shooting with a bullet and at that time Chandrayangutta MLA, Akbaruddin Owaisi, was holding a pistol in his hand but police avoided taking any action in this case. Awad Yafia approached the High Court. High Court issued orders to Chandrayangutta police on 26th November 2012 to complete the investigation of the murder case and submit the report with in three months. Police recorded the statements of Awad bin Younus Yafai and other members of his family in Charlapalli Jail

Police decided to close this case because the witness did not record their statements.  A few days back Akbaruddin Owasi met Deputy Chief Minister, Damodar Raja Narasimha which gave rise to suspicion that police was being politically pressurized. In this police gave benefit to MLA.  Local residents alleged that police prepared the report by accepting bribe.  Mr. A. Srinivas Rao, Inspector of Police, Chandrayan Gutta said since there is no evidence in this case, it can not be proved in the court of law.
